Cookie and tracking policy
Last updated November 1, 2026. This policy describes the current CarInfo.ai website and prototype.
Your choice
Optional tracking is off until you explicitly select “Accept optional.” Rejecting, ignoring the notice, scrolling or using the site does not grant consent. You can use the site with optional tracking rejected.
Use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page to change your choice. Select “Reject optional” to withdraw permission. The choice applies to this browser and website address, not other browsers or devices.
What we track today
This version has no optional analytics, advertising pixels, heatmaps, cursor or scroll recording, session replay or fingerprinting. Accepting the notice currently starts no data collection. We do not queue activity from before acceptance for later upload.
A new tracking provider, purpose or type of collected data requires an updated policy and a new consent version. An earlier acceptance will not authorize that changed setup.
Storage used for the service
- Consent preference
paddock-tracking-consentin local storage records your choice, policy version, choice time and expiry. We remember both acceptance and rejection for 30 days from your choice, without extending that period when you return. After expiry, tracking stays off and we ask again. Unreadable choices also default to tracking off. It contains no movement history or visitor identifier.- Saved auction review
paddock-auction-review-v1in local storage holds the review shown in the purchase desk. It supports editing and reopening your work; it is not an analytics record. It remains until you replace it or clear this site’s storage.- Display preference
paddock-themein local storage remembers a light/dark theme you select, until replaced or cleared.- Sign-in sessions
- When you sign in, Supabase uses session cookies to keep you signed in. Their names can include
sb-…-auth-tokenand related sign-in cookies. Expiry and renewal depend on the authentication configuration. These are used for sign-in, not optional activity analytics.
Account reviews
When signed in, choosing Save to account sends your review to Supabase and preserves its revision history. These requests provide the feature you requested and are not optional analytics. Read about account data and deletion.
Withdrawal and deletion
Rejecting optional tracking does not erase your saved review or sign you out. To remove local reviews and preferences, use your browser’s controls to clear this site’s storage. Download any review you want to keep first. Clearing storage also removes your consent choice, so the notice appears again.
If storage is unavailable, optional tracking stays off for the visit and your choice may not survive a reload. The notice explains when a preference could not be saved.
Requests needed to operate the site
Loading pages, signing in and requesting a feature still require network requests. Hosting and authentication infrastructure may process request information for delivery and security. Rejecting optional tracking does not stop those necessary requests or configure infrastructure logs. External source links lead to separate websites with their own policies.
Local development also uses development-server connections. Those are separate from visitor analytics and are not part of the public production interface.
